The Challenge
Access to healthcare services in many areas is still constrained by distance, long waiting times, and limited accessible information. Caretaker needed a mobile platform capable of integrating multiple services — from consultation booking and health articles to medical record management — in a single app users could trust. The primary challenge was maintaining user trust in a sensitive domain where errors or poor experiences can directly affect medical decisions.

What We Built
Banua Coder developed the Caretaker.id application using Flutter. The implementation covers a secure authentication system, a consultation booking module with real-time doctor schedules, a readable and searchable health article section, user consultation history, and appointment reminder notifications. The backend is integrated via REST API with session handling and data security appropriate for a healthcare application.
Context
Caretaker.id is a healthcare application developed for the Caretaker client. The health domain carries higher responsibility than a typical consumer app — users rely on it for decisions directly related to their medical condition.
This project pushed Banua Coder to build to stricter standards on reliability, data security, and UX clarity, so users could interact with the application with full confidence.
What We Built
The Caretaker.id application covers several core modules:
- Consultation booking: Users can select a doctor by specialty and schedule consultations according to available slots. Confirmation and reminders are delivered via push notification.
- Remote consultation: Telemedicine feature connecting users with medical professionals without needing to visit a facility.
- Health articles: Educational content organised by category and searchable by keyword.
- Consultation history: Saved consultation log for user and doctor reference.
Impact
Caretaker.id is deployed and actively used. The project extends Banua Coder’s track record into the healthtech domain, which demands quality and trust standards higher than the average consumer application.
