Ayana
A consumer-facing web application for pregnancy and child-development monitoring, built for Indonesian parents. Aligned with the standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes RI) and the Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI), Ayana helps parents follow fetal development, maternal nutrition, baby milestones, and child health — in a single platform that feels warm and easy to use.
// Problem
The Challenge
Trustworthy pregnancy and child-development information for Indonesian parents remains scattered across many sources of varying quality and accuracy. Parents need a single platform that combines fetal-development tracking, nutrition education, and child-milestone tracking in a structured flow — grounded in credible medical standards (Kemenkes RI and IDAI), not just compiled generic content. The technical and product challenge: building a web application that handles medical data sensitively, stays responsive across devices, and feels like an intimate companion at every phase — not a cold clinical dashboard.
// Solution
What We Built
Banua Coder built Ayana as a modern web application using Laravel 12 + Vue 3 + Inertia.js + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS v4. The implementation includes week-by-week pregnancy tracking, maternal nutrition calculators and recommendations, child-milestone tracking aligned with Kemenkes RI growth charts, a child-health content library validated against IDAI guidelines, reminder systems for routine check-ups and vaccinations, and an interface designed for young families with a warm, non-clinical tone.
Context
Ayana is a pregnancy and child-development companion app built for Indonesian parents. Its vision — “Every Heartbeat, Every Step of Growth — Always close with Ayana” (translated from “Setiap Detak, Setiap Tumbuh – Selalu dekat dengan Ayana”) — captures what makes the product different from typical health apps: not just a tracking tool, but a companion present at every phase, from week one of pregnancy through child growth milestones.
What makes this domain challenging: a good parenting/health app must balance credible medical grounding with a tone that stays warm and approachable. Ayana roots its tracking in the standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes RI) and the Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI) — but presents them in language and visuals that feel like a conversation with a friend, not a clinical report.
What We Built
Banua Coder developed Ayana as a modern web application combining Laravel 12 as the backend, Vue 3 as the frontend, Inertia.js as the SPA-like bridge, TypeScript for type safety, and Tailwind CSS v4 for a consistent design system. Core modules include:
- Week-by-week pregnancy tracking: Fetal development updates, common symptoms, and recommended actions, mapped to gestational age.
- Maternal nutrition: Trimester-appropriate nutrition guidance with food recommendations relevant to the Indonesian context.
- Child growth milestones: Tracking of height, weight, and developmental milestones with Kemenkes RI reference curves.
- Child health content: A health-information library validated against IDAI guidelines, with parent-friendly navigation.
- Routine reminders: Notifications for prenatal checks, child vaccinations, and growth-monitoring schedules.
- Warm brand identity: Soft pink/coral palette, Inter typography, and micro-interactions that keep the app’s tone supportive rather than clinical.
Impact
Ayana fills a real gap in the Indonesian market: a pregnancy and parenting application in Indonesian, grounded in credible medical standards, but delivered in a tone that doesn’t intimidate young parents.
For Banua Coder, this project adds depth to our consumer healthtech portfolio with genuinely complex medical-content domain — alongside Detexi and Caretaker.id — and stands as one of our strongest references for combining domain depth with warm product craft.
