Lontara
A province-scale regional tax and levy payment application serving every regency/city in South Sulawesi that participates in the PT Brantas Inti Utama digital tax partnership. Lontara reflects the depth of Banua Coder's experience in public-sector systems built around digital payments — and complements Patonro (regency-scale, Gowa).

The Challenge
Managing regional taxes and levies across South Sulawesi involves many regencies and cities, with systems that are often fragmented, unintegrated, and difficult for residents to access. The South Sulawesi Provincial Government — through its partnership with PT Brantas Inti Utama — needed a single application that simplifies the cross-regency payment flow, provides real-time visibility into obligation status, and improves taxpayer compliance through easier digital access.

What We Built
Lontara was developed by Banua Coder using Flutter for the mobile application with a Laravel backend as the API layer. The app covers NIK/NPWP-based authentication, a bill view per levy category, payment gateway integration, instant payment confirmation, filterable transaction history, and user-configurable due-date notification settings.
Context
Lontara is the province-scale regional tax and levy payment application for South Sulawesi, developed in partnership with PT Brantas Inti Utama. Its scope covers every regency and city in South Sulawesi that participates in the PT Brantas Inti Utama digital regional tax program.
Together with Patonro (regency scale, Gowa), Lontara rounds out Banua Coder’s understanding of variations in regional administrative flows, differences in tax data structures across districts, and UX nuances for a wide and diverse user base.
What We Built
Lontara was built with Flutter and Laravel, with an emphasis on ease of use:
- Taxpayer authentication: Login by NIK or NPWP so users do not need to create a new account.
- Bills by category: Land and building tax, vehicle levies, and other categories displayed in easily navigable tabs.
- Integrated payment: One-click payment flow after a bill is selected, with immediate confirmation and a saveable receipt.
- History and filters: Users can view all transactions and filter by year or category.
Impact
Lontara is deployed and actively used by taxpayers across the partner regencies and cities in South Sulawesi. Together with Patonro, both projects — alongside PT Brantas Inti Utama as the implementation partner — position Banua Coder as an experienced team in the regional digital tax domain across both regency and provincial scales.
